We got back to St. Louis the day before the wintry mix joined the chat.

We had French toast THREE times. Once with homemade bread.

And we’ve watched a LOT of animé.

I love snow, but I would also love to go for a long walk without dying.

That’s a LOT of plants!! I love the scene from your back upstairs window. The snowy world looks so peaceful. The fire in the stove picture warms me up!! Plus, the coal is cool… is the turtle attached to it?? Is it real?

It’s a real fake turtle! There’s a coal frog, too. Both belong to Laine. All three if you count the giant lump of coal. It used to be on Laine’s dad’s desk in Confluence.

I love it all!! I wish I had met Lainey’s dad and got to know him. I saw him a couple times when he and Ann(e?) were in town, but I never got to talk with him. Chris P. told me how he came across PA to help her and Ted load up Ted’s grandmother’s stuff. Chris is so thankful for that and said he is the reason she has the beautiful birdbath and other family treasures. It’s easy to see from knowing Lainey what a great guy and genius and down to earth human being he was. Lainey inherited lots of his qualities, and that’s such a beautiful thing. She’s a living testament to him, and by extension, so are you.
