Today was for real for real the last day of hired labor in service to the overcursed basement. We handed the plumber a check (no handshake) and said we’d call them sometime in December for a final cleaning before we’re ready to repaint the floor.
I’m so ready to talk about something else but we’re careful what we wish for these days.

Can’t use the washing machine until the concrete cures, so it’s back to the laundromat for me.
I also ran to the post office to mail the Costco holiday gift guide to Annie Zaleski, whose Taylor Swift book was listed next to Dolly Parton and Metallica’s.

And we mailed back our old E-Z Pass road toll sensor while we were at it. Laine’s installing the new one after work today. Yes, it’s time for the annual migration to Western Pennsylvania. This visit will be my first time staying in Laine’s folks’ new retirement community. STAY TUNED.
